Thank you for your interest in our Patient Participation Group (PPG). The PPG was established in 2011 with the aim of representing the views of our patients. At Eastville Medical Practice we believe that the input of patients is key to improving our service, and we are keen to encourage an active patient participation group.
Next Meeting: Tuesday 20th February 2018, 6pm at the Health Centre
If you would like to contribute to the agenda, you can write to us, submit your idea in writing to reception or use the form at the bottom of this page.
Please be assured that any views you express as a member of the PPG or patient email group will have no effect on the medical treatment you receive.
The main goal is to promote the wellbeing of patients and support the practice to provide a high quality of care and service delivery. We aim to listen and adjust to our patients’ needs.
We aim to achieve a PPG made up of patient representatives of different ages, genders and cultural or ethnic backgrounds who are motivated to:
Ideally that is decided by the group. Common themes could include:
After each meeting, the minutes will be sent to all members and made available on the website, along with the date of the next meeting and a deadline for submission of agenda items for the next meeting. Prior to each meeting an agenda will be circulated to all members.
The group is not involved in raising funds for the practice. It is also not a forum to discuss individual complaints.
It is an opportunity to make a difference to what happens in your surgery. Being part of our PPG will mean you will be consulted about arrangements in primary healthcare, and you will have a forum to suggest positive ideas and voice concerns.
It will give you a better understanding and knowledge of the practice and the staff, and will improve communication between staff and patients.
Most importantly you will be able to make sure that the patient view is represented.
PPG membership is open to anyone who is registered with the surgery. If you are interested, please feel free to send us your details using the form below, or simply come along to our next meeting. It is that simple!
We realise that not everyone is able or keen to come to meetings at the Practice, but that they might still be interested in contributing to the development of the Practice.
For this reason we run an email group, who receive Practice news, have the opportunity to contribute suggestions about services and the chance to provide feedback on Practice initiatives.
If you are interested in this group, please submit your email address using the form below.
