Practice Information

The Health Centre and practice phonelines are open from 8.00am-6.30pm Monday-Friday (except Bank Holidays).

Appointments are offered between:
8.30am and 7.30pm on Mondays,
7.30am-8am and 8.30am-6.30pm on Wednesdays,
8.30am-6.30pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday,
and one Saturday morning a month.

We also provide some mid-week telephone consultations between 6.30pm and 7pm.

When the main health centre doors are closed, access is provided via an intercom system at the main doors.

Our next Saturday surgery will take place on 11th November.

Please note that Saturday appointments are booked in advance.

The phone lines are often very busy first thing in the morning – we would appreciate it if you did not ring at this time for issues other than appointment-booking.

When the Surgery is closed, if you phone for advice or a visit your call will be diverted to NHS 111, who will deal with your call. You may be given advice over the phone, visited at home, or asked to attend the BrisDoc services at their out of hours premises, including:

  • Bristol Royal Infirmary
  • Southmead Hospital, Antenatal Clinic
  • Knowle West Health Park
  • Cossham Hospital

Bristol CCG is responsible for commissioning out of hours services for patients.

Patients are reminded that they can also use the services of NHS 111 and the NHS Walk In Centres. NHS 111 is a 24 hour telephone service for health advice and information. Tel: 111

NHS Walk-In Centres offer both booked and walk-in appointments, and are open daily (including Bank Holidays and weekends) at:

NHS 111

You can call NHS 111 (Tel: 111) at any time of the day for medical advice. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

The Practice covers the areas of Eastville, Easton, Stapleton, St. Werburghs and Fishponds.

The Health Centre is accessible to all patients. We have dedicated disabled parking spaces. There is a ramp up to the front entrance which has automatic doors, and a lift for access to the first and second floors. Disabled toilet facilities are available on all floors. Guide dogs are welcome in the building.

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The mean earnings for GPs working at Eastville Medical Practice in the financial year ending 31 March 2016 was £45,136 before tax, National Insurance and employee pension contributions.
